1. WHY HIRE AN EVENT COORDINATOR OR WEDDING PLANNER?

Hiring an event and wedding planner cuts time-cost, giving you, the client, extra time and peace of mind before the big event ahead. For example, it takes on average about 250 hours to completely plan a wedding from start to finish. Your event and/or wedding planner does all the legwork, from sourcing venues, vendors and planning all details so that you don’t have to. Your event planner will also help to manage your budget, vendor contracts, provide qualified vendor referrals, ask the important questions to potential vendors and negotiate to save you money along the way. Event and wedding planners can provide creative décor and design ideas to truly make your event a success and create beautiful moments.

 

2. THERE IS ALREADY AN EVENT COORDINATOR AT MY VENUE, WHY DO WE NEED A WEDDING PLANNER?

The event coordinator designated at a hotel or venue’s job is to oversee the details directly related to the hotel or venue only. It is therefore not within their job description to confirm with your individual vendors, organize wedding rehearsals, cue you down the aisle during ceremony, oversee the vendors on your wedding day, and make sure all of the day's events are running according to schedule. Therefore, hiring a professional wedding planner helps to supplement any services offered by any designated coordinators or staff at the venue.

 

 

3. HOW DO YOU MAKE MY EVENT DIFFERENT OR MEMORABLE?

When you hire TheCore Events, you can expect expert guidance, practical advice and honesty. One of my favourite parts in working with clients is brainstorming and providing insight into things that they did not even think was possible. Part of the consultation involves getting to know the client and their individual needs so that I can create your dreams and make them a reality.

 

4. DO YOU ACCEPT ANY REFERRAL FEES OR “KICKBACKS” FROM OTHER VENDORS?

No. We do not receive or accept any “kickbacks” from vendors that we work with or that we recommend. If a fee is offered, we decline and request that the vendor provide the kickback to you, our client, in the form of a discount.

 

 

5. MY FRIEND (OR FAMILY MEMBER) IS GOING TO HELP ME PLAN MY WEDDING. WHY DO I NEED TO HAVE A PROFESSIONAL PLANNER?

Similarly as how on-site coordinators are responsible for a narrower scope when it comes to event planning and production, non-professional planners might not have the necessary experience, industry connections or the optimal skillset to deliver you the very best possible wedding day with as minimal last-minute hassles as can be. A professional wedding planner will allow you and your family to relax, enjoy the event and feel like a guest.

 

6. CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT NOTHING WILL GO WRONG ON OUR EVENT DAY?

We will work vigorously to ensure that your event goes off without a hitch, however some things are just simply outside of our control. We will handle all problem that may arise and work to ensure that they are promptly and discreetly handled without interruption to your event.

 

 

 

7. DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH YOUR PREFERRED VENDORS?

Each event is unique and is based on a client’s personal preference and style. We will work with the best vendors for your vision and budget when creating your event whether that be a new vendor or one we have worked with in the past. We are constantly networking within our industry to find and explore new, creative talent and vendors.

 

8. WHAT ARE YOUR FEES FOR EVENTS?

The full costs of each wedding or event varies as each one is unique dependable on a variety of factors. For this reason, we prefer to give pricing after speaking with the client. Each event we produce is designed specifically for the client and their requirements. Events range in size and to ensure fair pricing we always prefer to ascertain needs first to provide a customer quote.

 

 

 

9. DO YOU PLAN ONLY WEDDINGS?

No we most definitely do not only plan weddings! At TheCore Events we are capable of planning any type of events. We plan weddings, birthday parties, baby showers and dedications, graduations, anniversaries, corporate meetings and events, open houses, product launches, Christmas parties, etc. TheCore Events Event Planners specifically plan events in Brampton, Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington, Toronto and the GTA area. We are willing to travel. We also possess the ability to create beautiful Destination Weddings.
